She served for seven years as an adjunct professor of Advanced Trial Skills and Trial Simulation courses at Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Because of her extensive knowledge, she is often invited to speak before groups such as the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association on topics including voir dire, jury selection, cross-examination, self defense and the importance of mitigation. Letitia is a mother to two children. She believes strongly in giving back to her community and spends a considerable amount of time outside the office volunteering with her sorority, Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. She sits on the board of the non-profit organization, Cherish Our Children, an organization that serves the needs of children with incarcerated parents, and various charity groups.
