Chad began his legal career as an assistant in the Fort Bend Independent School District Staff Attorney’s Office and later served as a Legislative Assistant to State Senator J.E. “Buster” Brown. In Rusty Hardin & Associates’ earlier days, Chad worked alongside Rusty as a law clerk, conducting research and assisting attorneys with trial preparation. From there, he worked in both the Fort Bend and Harris County District Attorney offices before moving into private practice. This experience allowed him to spend countless hours inside the courtroom and gave him a wealth of knowledge in criminal law and how the criminal system works. Having worked on both sides of the aisle, he understands prosecutors and the tactics they employ, making him an asset to those he represents as he fights on their behalf.

Chad’s clients and those who have worked alongside him have seen an attorney who’s always prepared and who’s perfectly at ease juggling several matters at once. When working a case, he maintains good relationships with everyone involved, from opposing counsel to court staff. Chad will be the first to say that, in addition to being the right thing to do, it’s those relationships that can often help bring a case to its most favorable resolution. When playing nice doesn’t work, Chad’s always ready to go to the mat.

Chad earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law. Chad would say that his greatest accomplishment and joy is at home spending time with his wife and five kids. He also enjoys coaching Little League as well as being an avid Astros fan.
