We represented Burlington Resources in a federal criminal investigation tied to the company’s calculation and payment of oil and gas royalties. For almost three years, we helped the company negotiate inquiries from the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Minerals Management Service. This matter concluded with a formal
declination of charges by the U.S. Attorney in Wyoming.
